Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel representing the State-opposite party Nos.1 to 5. 2. The prayer made in the present writ petition is to consider the petitioner's claim with regard to correction in the date of birth. 3. The petitioner has approached this Court at the fag end of his retirement and submission is that though his date of birth is "01.06.1966", the same is wrongly recorded as "02.07.1965". Learned counsel submits that various representations have been moved seeking correction in date of birth. 4. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of instructions received, submits that in nominal roll, "02.07.1965" is recorded as petitioner's date of birth. Instructions further reveals that the issue with regard to the petitioner's date of birth was discussed during the course of inquiry conducted by the committee concerned and based upon the nominal roll, data form and NIC software, his date of birth was found to be "02.07.1965". Instructions produced by learned Standing Counsel is taken on record. 5. Considering the above facts situation and the stage at which the petitioner has raised a claim for correction in his service record, this Court does not find any good ground to entertain the present writ petition. 6. The writ petition is suffers from inordinate laches and being devoid of any merit is, accordingly, dismissed. (Kshitij Shailendra, J.)
