Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This application has been filed under Section 482, of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in respect of Special (NDPS) Case No.52/2024, pending in the Page No.# 2/3 Court of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Sribhumi. 3. The petitioner has been shown as an absconder in the Charge-Sheet, he now wants to appear before the Trial Court to face the trial. 4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has objected to this bail application on the ground that commercial quantity of narcotic drugs are involved in the present case. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that nothing was recovered from the possession of this petitioner, whatever was recovered was recovered from the possession of some other person, who are already granted bail. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is interested in facing the trial and to prove his innocence, therefore, the petitioner wants that he should be given adequate opportunity to contest the case. 7. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for both the sides. 8. Since the petitioner is interested in facing the trail, he deserves to be given one opportunity to that effect. 9. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 10. The petitioner, Jahangir Alom is directed to appear before the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Sribhumi on 01.07.2025 in respect of Special (NDPS) Case No.52/2024, on his appearance, the petitioner, Jahangir Alom shall be released on bail of Rs.50,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Page No.# 3/3 Sessions Judge, Sribhumi. 11.
