Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Maranghada P.S. Case No. 14 of 2023 corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No. 36 of 2023 for the offences registered under sections 15(C), 22 and 25 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned D.A.S.J.-II, Khunti. 3. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this court vide B.A. No. 6757 of 2024 by order dated 05.12.2024. 4. On 04.05.2023, Maranghada Police intercepted a Pick-Up Van bearing registration no. JH 01BL 9963. On search, 1053.590 kgs of poppy husk were recovered from the said vehicle. Petitioner was found travelling on the said vehicle. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in custody for more than two years and the trial has not yet commenced. 6. Report regarding the stage of the trial earlier called for, has been received. It appears that though, charge was framed in this case, but the prosecution has not examined any witness. 7. Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody for more than two years and the trial has not yet commenced, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned D.A.S.J.-II, Khunti in connection with Maranghada P.S.
