Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam as well as Ms. M. K. Brown, learned Amicus Curiae for the respondent No.2. 2) On last occasion, i.e. on 28.08.2025, a report regarding the up-to-date status of the Trial pending against the petitioner was called for from the Trial Court accordingly, a status report has been received. 3) On perusal of the status report furnished by the learned Additional Sessions Judge Cum Special Judge (POCSO), Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati, it appears that in Sessions (Special) Case No.36/2025, a Judgment was pronounced on 06.09.2025 and the petitioner was convicted under Section 6 of the POCSO Act as well as under Section 65 (2) of the BNS, 2023 and was accordingly sentenced. 4) In view of the conviction of the petitioner, in the Sessions Special Case No.36/2025, this application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has become infructuous and accordingly disposed of.
