The supplementary affidavit filed today in the Court is taken on record. 3. By means of the present petition the petitioner has prayed for the following relief: "(I) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS thereby commanding the opposite parties no.s 2 to 8 to stop the construction of new cremation ground at gata No.6 measuring area is 0.5440 hectare recorded as banjar in revenue records instead of gata no.135 measuring area 0.0830 hectare is recorded as cremation ground in revenue records, and also to remove the illegal encroachment and illegal possession on gata No.135, the land of cremation ground situated at Village Paharpur Tehsil Sarojini Nagar District Lucknow." 4. This Court instead of keeping this petition pending deems it appropriate to dispose of the same by directing Chief Development Officer, District Lucknow i.e. opposite party No.3 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 16.4.2025, as contained in Annexure No.2 to the writ petition, which is pending before him, expeditiously, say within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him in accordance with law and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
