Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3. The petitioner was appointed as Conductor in the respondent Corporation on 15.04.1991 and he retired from service on 31.05.2023. However, his surrender leave salary was not paid, due to paucity of fund. The petitioner has sent a representation on 13.03.2025, seeking the above said benefits. So far, there is no response from the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed. 4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to disburse the eligible surrender leave salary of the writ 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.17485 of 2025 petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
