GP FOR MED HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE 2 The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief/s:- “…to issue a Writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents not considering the representation of the petitioner dated 1.4.2025 disregarding the consideration of the 3rd respondents Lr.Rc.No.16345/plg A/2024 Dt.13.08.2024 to the 1st respondent as illegal arbitrary contrary to law and violation of Provisions of Article 14 16 and 21 of constitution of India and further direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 1.4.2025 of the petitioner forthwith and pass such other order or orders.…” 2. Heard Sri T.V.V.Koteswara Rao, learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services-I for respondents. 3. Petitioner is working as District Extension Media Officer (DEMO) at Kakinada, East Godavari District. Due to bifurcation of Districts, respondent No.1 issued G.O.Ms.No.67 Finance (HR.I-Plg & Policy) Department dated 03.02.2022 making provisional allocation of posts in reconstructing district officers, as per which the post of District Extension Media Officer (DEMO) has been shown at Annexure-III stated to be having a cadre strength of one in the existing District of East Godavari District. When there is only one post for the District, the norm being the same to be retained in the same District rather than allocating it to the newly formed District, by oversight, the said post of DEMO has been allocated to Konaseema District. Having realized the aforesaid error, respondent No.3 addressed a letter vide Lr.Rc.No.16345/Plg A/2024 dated 13.08.2024 to respondent No.1 to rectify the above anomaly by 3 retaining the said post of DEMO of Kakinada, in view of the need and necessity. As no further action is forthcoming, the petitioner made representation dated 01.04.2025 to respondent No.1 requesting to issue appropriate orders in line with the recommendation made by respondent No.3, which is stated to be pending. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice to direct respondent No.1 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the aforesaid representation. 5. Learned Assistant Government appearing for respondents submits that the petitioner’s representation would be considered and disposed in accordance with law and within reasonable time. 6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, at admission stage, with the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed directing respondent No.1 to consider and pass appropriate orders pursuant to petitioner’s representation dated 01.04.2025, having regard to the letter vide Lr.Rc.No.16345/Plg A/2024 dated 13.08.2024 addressed by respondent No.3 to respondent No.1 within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. 7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
