Learned Additional Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 07.07.2025 from the Special Secretary (PW) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. In terms of the said instructions, the State Government has conveyed its approval for providing 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes 2 additional funds amounting to Rs.180.62 Lakhs under the Head of Account ‘Maintenance’ (Charged). Learned Additional Advocate General, on the basis of instructions imparted by respondent No.3, submits that in view of approval of the Government, the amount admittedly due to the petitioner in terms of Gaurav Mehta Versus State of Himachal Pradesh and others2 shall be released in his favour within next ten days. Taking note of office instructions and submissions made by learned Additional Advocate General, these contempt proceedings are closed with hope & trust that the respondents shall release the admitted liability towards the petitioner in terms of Gaurav Mehta2 within ten days, i.e. by 21.07.2025.
