Also heard Mr. J K Goswami, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent Nos. 1, 4 & 5, Ms. R M Barooah, learned Standing counsel, Finance Department for the respondent No. 2 and Mr. B Sarma, learned Standing counsel, Accountant General, Assam for the respondent No. 3. 2. Mr. Sarma, learned Standing counsel, Accountant General, Assam for the respondent No. 3 has placed before this Court a letter dated 07.06.2022 addressed to the Treasury Officer, Jorhat by the Senior Accounts Officer in the Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Assam, whereby it has been stated that in compliance of the order of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court in WP(C) No. 3153/2019 in the matter of Bhani Boruah Vs. the State of Assam and Others, the name of Smt. Bhani Boruah as the first wife of Late Puni Ram Barua is to be included in both halves of PPO No. JOR/95220 in place of Smt. Sonmai Baruah (2nd wife) since reportedly expired. Therefore, a request was made by this letter to the Treasury Officer, Jorhat to include the name of Smt. Bhani Boruah, the present writ petitioner. 3. Ms. B Das, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instruction, submits that the petitioner’s name has already been included and accordingly, she has been getting the pensionary benefits. 4. In view of the compliance of the aforesaid Hon’ble High Court’s order and the relief so received in the present writ petition, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. Page No.# 3/3 6. The letter dated 07.06.2022 placed before this Court by Mr. Sarma, has been kept on record and marked as ‘X’.
