She was posted as Lecturer in District Institute of Education and Teaching, Roorkee. Subsequently vide order dated 26.6.2023, she was transferred as Lecturer, GIC, Radhudhar, Jakhanidhar, Tehri Garhwal. Challenging her transfer, petitioner has filed this writ petition. (3) Contention raised by the petitioner was that since she was posted as Lecturer, DIET in view of her option and after acceptance of her option, she became member of DIET Cadre, therefore she cannot be transferred back to Government Inter College. (4) Learned State Counsel, however, submits that there is no separate cadre of Lecturer, DIET and Lecturer, Government Inter College are transferred as per the exigencies of work to DIET. He further submits that petitioner is serving at Sugam places ever since she was appointed as Lecturer and on the date when she was transferred, she had served for more than 16 years at Sugam places. He thus submits that there is no illegality or infirmity whatsoever in the impugned transfer order. (5) An interim order was granted in favour of petitioner on 16.8.2023, pursuant to which she appears to be serving at DEIT, Roorkee. This Court thinks that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of granting liberty to petitioner to approach the transferring authority/Additional Director, Education, Dehradun by making a representation regarding her transfer. If she makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by the transferring authority within six weeks thereafter. For a period of eight weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, there shall be status quo qua the present place of posting of the petitioner.
