Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Endowments appearing for the respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 3. The grievance of the petitioners is that their father acquired the subject land through an unregistered sale deed dated 11.08.1972 for a sale consideration of Rs.4,500/-. Thereby recognizing his title and possession over the said land, revenue authorities subsequently issued pattadar passbooks and title deeds on 17.02.2005. It is further stated that during the lifetime of the petitioners’ father, a certain extent of the land was in his possession, and the remaining extent has been in the possession of the petitioners. After his demise, a registered sale deed dated 13.10.2008 was executed, as the petitioners are the absolute owners of the subject property. 4. When the petitioners proposed to sell the subject property, they came to know of a prohibition on its transfer/registration. Accordingly, they submitted a representation to the 4th respondent. However, the said representation is still pending, and no decision has been taken by the authorities. The petitioners have approached this Court by way of the present writ petition. 5. Having regard to the contentions advanced, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 4th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of this order, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. 6. Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
