The present applicant Narayan Dutt Pargai is praying for short term bail in reference to FIR dated 25.10.2025, bearing FIR No. 0359 of 2025, registered at P.S. Haldwani, District Nainital wherein the present applicant has been implicated for the offences punishable under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act for recovery of Charas which is a commercial quantity. 4. The short term bail is being sought on the ground that the marriage of the applicant’s son, namely, Kapil (Kailash) is scheduled to be held on 28th and 29th November 2025, in support of which invitation cards from both sides are also placed on record. 5. Yesterday, this matter was listed and the State Counsel was directed to get instructions, and today, on instructions, Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, learned Brief Holder for the State apprise to this Court that the marriage of applicant’s son is scheduled on the said date. 6. After hearing the submission, as advanced, by learned counsel for the parties, the instant short term bail application is allowed and applicant is admitted to short term bail for the period of two weeks. 7. Let the applicant Narayan Dutt Pargai be released on short term bail for a period of two weeks, to be reckoned 2025:UHC:10494 from the date of release, on his executing a personal bond to the satisfaction of the court concerned. 8. Needless to say on completion of period of two weeks, from the date of release, he shall surrender before the court concerned. On such an event he will be remanded to the custody. If he does not surrender, proper warrant shall be issued against him.
