JUSTICE MITALI THAKURIA ORDER Date : 17.06.2025 Heard Mr. S. N. Tamuli, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State respondent. 2. This application is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 challenging the judgment and order dated 06.07.2013 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Jorhat in Misc. Case No. 119/2012, registered under Section 125 of Cr. P.C. 3. It is submitted by Mr. Tamuli, learned counsel for the petitioner, that during the pendency of the criminal petition, the present petitioner and respondent No. 2 amicably settled the matter and are presently residing together as husband and wife. However, no communication was made by the petitioner regarding the said compromise, and as a result, the matter could not be brought to the notice of this Court. Accordingly, he submits that the petition has become infructuous. 4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the other aspects of the case, and the fact that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties who are now living together as husband and wife, I am of the view that the present petition stands disposed of as Page No.# 3/3 having become infructuous. 5. With above observation, this criminal petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
