Petitioner has questioned the order of West Bengal Central School Service Commission (hereinafter referred to as “Commission”) dated 24th January, 2025 wherein his prayer for transfer on the ground of distance could not be considered since three schools which petitioner 2 indicated in his transfer application was taken into consideration by the Secretary of the Commission and it was found that petitioner ranked fifth in first preferred school, ranked second in second preferred school and ranked third in third preferred school. Therefore, petitioner did not come within the zone of consideration. Petitioner made a representation dated 31st January, 2025 addressed to the Chairman of the Commission wherefrom it appears that prayer was made to grant the petitioner opportunity to apply for new schools. It is contended by learned advocate representing the petitioner that petitioner should have been considered in connection with other schools having vacancy. However, petitioner’s transfer application was decided by the Secretary of the Commission vide memo dated 24th January, 2025 considering three schools which were indicated by the petitioner in his transfer application and in all the three schools petitioner did not come within the zone of consideration. After disposal of the transfer application of the petitioner it is 3 not open to the petitioner to approach the Commission again seeking permission for allowing him to give new options of preferred schools in connection with his previous transfer application. Hence, writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
