Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:34652 Court No. - 4 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 5501 of 2025 Petitioner :- Abhishek Mishra Respondent :- Distt. Magistrate, Distt. Pratapgarh Counsel for Petitioner :- Dev Mani Mishra Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Jaspreet Singh,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Notice on behalf of the respondent State has been accepted by the office of the learned Chief Standing Counsel. The sole grievance of the petitioner has applied for grant of arms licence by way of application dated 9.1.2025, a copy of which has been brought on record as Annexure No.1. It is urged that the said application is engaging the attention of the respondent and the same has not yet been decided. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this court is of the opinion that no gainful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of finally with direction to the respondent to consider and decide the pending application ( in case if not already decided) and after noticing as to whether there is any legal impediment. It is expected that the said application shall be decided, expeditiously preferably within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the authority concerned. It is made clear that the court has not examined the case of either parties on merits and the authority concerned shall decide the same, in accordance with law. Order Date :- 4.6.2025/Shukla
