Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned A.G.A. for the State. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the witnesses in F.I.R. dated 13.10.2024, bearing F.I.R./Case Crime No.0179 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 105, 352 of B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 3(1)(d), 3(2)(v) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, at Police Station Vikas Nagar, District Lucknow, and now they are repeatedly facing threats from the accused persons and are feeling threatened for their life, therefore, they pray that appropriate security may be provided to them. Learned counsel further submits that petitioners have already moved an application under the Witnesses Protection Scheme before the District Standing Committee on 1.4.2025, which is pending consideration. He prays that the same may be directed to be decided within a time frame. 3. In the said background, it is directed that the appropriate Committee shall consider and decide the aforesaid application of the petitioners dated 1.4.2025 as per law within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before the authority concerned. 4. With the aforesaid, present writ petition stands disposed of. .
