In this petition, the petitioner has sought a writ of certiorari for quashing Circular No.AHJ/2015/3289-95 dated 31.12.2015, whereby respondent No.4 has directed the Head of the Departments of the Medical College, Jammu not to allow such staff to work in whose cases extension beyond the stipulated period was not approved by the competent authority. 2. The respondents have filed their objections and have stated that the petitioner was engaged as EEG Tech. on academic arrangement basis for one year. The petitioner completed his one year term on 5th March, 2013 and was not granted further extension. It is submitted that there were some employees, who were still working despite their term having Sr. No. 06 2 expired and no valid extension granted in their favour. It is, thus, submitted that to set the things right, impugned circular was issued. 3. This petition came up for consideration on 15.02.2016, when this Court while issuing notice to the respondents for filing objections, also provided by way of an interim direction that the position as was occupied by the petitioner should not be filled up, if not already filled up. There is, thus, no direction to put the petitioner back in academic arrangement and allow him to continue. 3. Be that as it may, it seems that the petitioner has lost interest to pursue this petition. This is possibly because of the reason that he could not get the relief as was desired by him at the motion hearing stage. 4. This petition is, accordingly, dismissed for non-prosecution.
