CONT CAS (C) No. 113 of 2024 has been initiated by the complainant/petitioner under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India for initiating contempt against the respondents/accused for willful and deliberate disobedience of the order rendered by the Division Bench of this Court dated 14.05.2024 in W.A. No. 19 of 2022. Learned Government Advocate, Mr. RK Umakanta facilitates documents on behalf of respondent No. 6 and the same is taken on record. KABORAMBA M SANDEEP SINGH Digitally signed by KABORAMBAM SANDEEP SINGH Date: 2025.07.30 12:06:02 +05'30' Page | 2 Whereas, the proceeding in MC [CONT CAS (C)] No. 71 of 2025 has been filed by the applicant/respondent No. 8 in the main contempt case, CONT CAS (C) No. 113 of 2024, seeking for four weeks’ time for full compliance of the judgment and order dated 14.05.2024 passed in W.A. No. 19 of 2022. Learned counsel for the complainant/petitioner, Mr. B. Kirankumar, fairly submits that this application may be considered granting four weeks’ time for full compliance. Therefore, keeping in view the submission made by learned senior counsel for the applicant/respondent No. 8, inclusive of the submission made by the complainant/petitioner, it is deemed appropriate that the aforesaid miscellaneous application be allowed in the interest of justice. However, learned counsel for the contempt petitioner is directed to submit a report relating to the correct date of birth of the complainant/petitioner to the concerned authority forthwith, for consideration of the relief and also for compliance of the order rendered by the coordinate bench in the aforesaid writ appeal. The applicant/respondent No. 8 is granted four weeks’ time as sought for in the miscellaneous case proceeding, for full compliance of the aforesaid order rendered by the coordinate Bench of this Court in the writ appeal, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meanwhile for disposal of the miscellaneous application, learned counsel for the Principal accountant General (A & E), Manipur, Mr. S. Suresh, who is appearing through Video conferencing, prays for two weeks’ time for issuance of authority after receipt of necessary documents from the State Government.
