Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:34826-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 5463 of 2025 Petitioner :- Ravi Shankar Pandey Respondent :- Union Of India, Ministry Of Petroleum And Natural Gas Thru. Prin. Secy. And 2 Ors. Counsel for Petitioner :- Alok Kumar Tripathi Counsel for Respondent :- A.S.G.I. Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Praveen Kumar Giri,J. 1. Heard. 2. The petitioner has challenged a notice issued by the Deputy General Manager, GAIL (India) Limited, Phoolpur, Prayagraj, by which the petitioner has been asked not to interfere and to remove the encroachment on the land, usage of which has been acquired for the purposes of GAIL (India) Limited. 3. The petitioner's counsel informed us that the possession took place more than 10 years ago. He has purchased the land only in 2022 and wants to construct a boundary wall, for which a foundation was dug up when the impugned notice has been given. 4. We are of the opinion that the remedy in such matters is not under Article 226 of the Constitution of India as this will require a factual inquiry as also adducing of evidence etc. The petitioner may avail other remedies as may be permissible in law. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. (Praveen Kumar Giri, J.) (Rajan Roy, J.)
