2. Mr. Narayan Dutt, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand.
3. Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade (Social Studies). She has challenged transfer orders passed in respect of her on 26.06.2023.
4. Perusal of the impugned orders reveals that by the first order dated 26.06.2023, petitioner was transferred from Government Higher Secondary School, Bahuli, (Bageshwar) to Government Higher Secondary School Sheelbaruri, (Champawat) and by the subsequent order passed on her request, petitioner was transferred from Government Higher Secondary School, Bahuli, Bageshwar to Government Higher Secondary School, Kwarab, District Nainital.
5. Coordinate Bench had granted interim order in favour of the petitioner on 10.07.2023, pursuant to which, petitioner is still serving at Bageshwar.
6. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition, pending.
7. Accordingly, the writ petition is
disposed of with a direction to the Additional Director, Secondary Education, Kumaon, Nainital to re-consider the case of the petitioner for transfer and pass
2025:UHC:9748 appropriate order, as per law, within eight weeks from date of presentation of certified copy of this order before him.
8. For a period of eight weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo qua petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
