Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondent nos.1 to 6. 2. By this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- "i. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari thereby quashing the selection of opp. party no.6 from the post of Angaan Badi Karykatri and consider the petitioner for such post, on the basis of qualification of merit, contained in Annexure No.1 to this writ petition, in the interest of justice. ii. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding the opp. party no.2 i.e. District Magistrate Bahraich to conduct a detailed enquiry of selection process and consider the petitioner for the post of Angaan Badi Karykatri, at Village Rehuya, Mansur, District-Bahraich, in the interest of justice." 3. Learned standing counsel on the basis of written instructions which are taken on record, has opposed the petition. 4. A perusal of the instructions shows that the petitioner applied under EWS category for the post reserved for EWS category candidates however, the EWS certificate which was provided by the petitioner at the time of verification was dated 16.01.2025 whereas the last date for submitting application form is 09.01.2025 thus, considering the Government Order dated 21.03.2023 after the last date of submission of the application form, no certificate which was issued after the last date of submitting the application form, can be taken into account and thus, the petitioner was declared ineligible to be considered for selection therefore, I find no illegality in the impugned selection.
