JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 23-06-2025 Heard Ms. F. Hussain, learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner. Also heard Ms. TR Ovung, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. SK Talukdar, learned Standing Counsel, Co-operation Department. This Interlocutory Application has been filed seeking corrections of the particulars of the respondents No. 4 & 5 in the cause-title in the main Writ petition being WP(C) no.3075/2025. A further prayer is made seeking corrections of the order dated 06.06.2025 passed in WP(C) No.3075.2025. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner/ applicant that in the order dated 06.06.2025 passed in WP(C) No.3075.2025, it is reflected that the writ petitioner was working as a Lower Division Assistant (LDA) in the office of the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Jorhat, whereas it ought to have been the Office of the Zonal Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Jorhat. This error has crept in inadvertently for which the petitioner has filed this Interlocutory Application seeking corrections. It is further submitted that the respondent no.4 has been incorrectly mentioned as “the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati,” whereas it ought to have been “the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Dibrugarh, Assam”. Page No.# 3/4 Similarly, in the particulars of the respondent no.5 instead of “the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati”, it should have been “the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Tinsukia, Assam”. It is submitted that these corrections be permitted to be undertaken by the applicant/petitioner in the accompanying writ petition being WP(C) No.3075/2025. Ms. TR Ovung, learned counsel for Co-operative Societies does not object to the prayer made. In that view of the matter, having perused the particulars placed before the Court and taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner, this Court is of the view that this Interlocutory Application can be disposed of at this stage without issuing Notice. Accordingly, the order dated 06.06.2025 passed in WP(C) No.3075/2025, wherein it is recorded that the petitioner is working as “a Lower Division Assistant (LDA) in the Office of the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Jorhat”, should be read as “a Lower Division Assistant (LDA) in the Office of the Zonal Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Jorhat”. The petitioner is further permitted to take necessary steps for correcting the particulars of the respondent nos. 4 & 5. In so far as the respondent no.4 is concerned “the Page No.# 4/4 Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati it should be read as “the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Dibrugarh, Assam”. Similarly, in so far as the respondent no.5 is concerned in place of “the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati”, it should be read as “the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Tinsukia, Assam”. Let the corrections be carried out by the Registry for which the applicant/petitioner shall file amended cause title before the Registry within 3 (three) weeks from today. This order shall be read with the order dated 06.06.2025 passed in WP(C) no.3075/2025. A copy of this order also be retained with the case record of WP(C) no.3075/2025.
