GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following order: The present writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of the respondents in considering representation dated 24.03.2025 for appointing the petitioner as Senior MET/Field Assistant under MGNREGS Scheme, as arbitrary and illegal. 2. Heard Sri B.Suryanarayana Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Services-I and Sri M.S.R.Chandra Murthy, learned Standing Counsel for MGNREGS appearing for the 3rd respondent. 2 CGR, J W.P.No.9630 of 2025 3. The petitioner claims to have been granted MGNREGS job card and he is also qualified to be appointed as Senior MET/Field Assistant. The 5th respondent/Gram Panchayat even passed a resolution dated 04.07.2023 considering his case for undertaking the aforesaid assignments under the scheme. However, though the petitioner has approached 4th respondent, no further action has been taken. It is also stated that even the 5th respondent has recommended the case of the petitioner to the 4th respondent. The petitioner stated to have submitted representation dated 24.03.2025 to the 2nd respondent, which is pending consideration. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the said representation. 5. Sri M.S.R.Chandra Murthy, learned Standing Counsel, on the other hand submits that as the representation is pending with the 2nd respondent, the same will be considered in accordance with law. 6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits of the matter, with the consent of both counsel appearing for the respective parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders, in pursuance of the petitioner’s representation 3 CGR, J W.P.No.9630 of 2025 dated 24.03.2025 in accordance with the law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
