Petitioner has challenged appointment of respondent no. 3 as Member of the Steering Committee constituted by State Government for issuing advertisements to newspapers. 4. It is contended that respondent no. 3 do not fulfil the eligibility criteria for appointment as Member of the Steering Committee, yet he was appointed; while petitioner who met all the eligibility conditions and also participated in the selection, was left out. 5. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that if petitioner has any grievance, then he should have approached the Director General, Information and Public Relation Department, Uttarakhand. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has submitted a representation to Hon’ble Chief Minister and other concerned authorities on 29.8.2025, 2025:UHC:9977 copy thereof was sent to Director General also. 7. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that unless the representation is addressed to the Director General, he cannot take any decision in the matter. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make representation highlighting his grievances. If petitioner makes representation to the Director General within one week from today, the Director General shall look into the matter and take decision, as per law, within eight weeks. It goes without saying that respondent no. 3 shall also be heard, before passing any order by the Director General.
