Court No. - 3 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 6336 of 2025 Petitioner :- Dr. Sheila Srivastava Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Chief Secy. Govt. Of U.P. At Lko. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Mohd.Altaf Mansoor,Tanay Chaudhary Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Abdul Moin,J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents no. 1 & 2. 2. Today, vakalatnama has been filed in Court on behalf of the respondent no. 4 by Sri Laxman Singh, Advocate which is taken on record. 3. No notice need be issued to the respondent no. 3 taking into consideration the nature of order proposed to be passed. 4. By means of the instant petition, the petitioner has prayed for a mandamus commanding the respondents to provide extension of two years service to the petitioner on account of she being a recipient of the Shikshak Shree Award. 5. Reliance has been placed on the Government order dated 14.06.2016 to contend that the said Government order reiterates an earlier Government order dated 17.06.2004 which provides that National/State awardees would be entitled for extension of two years service. 6. Contention is that as the petitioner is a recipient of the Shikshak Shree Award as such, she is entitled for extension of service for two years which has still not been considered by the respondents although the petitioner would be retired at the end of academic session i.e 30.06.2025. 7. Considering the aforesaid and that a final decision in the matter is to be taken by the respondent no. 2 as stated by the learned Standing counsel as such, the instant writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to submit a representation in this regard claiming extension of service in terms of relevant Government orders within three days from today. In case, such a representation is made then the competent authority who is said to be the respondent no. 2 shall consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law and the relevant rules within next two weeks and preferably prior to 30.06.2025. 8. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case.
