REGISTERED IN THE INDIRANAGAR POLICE STATION, BANGALORE FOR THE OFFENCES PUNISHABLE UNDER SECTIONS 384 AND 389 OF THE INDIAN PENAL CODE 1860 PENDING BEFORE THE COURT OF X ADDL. CHIEF METROPOLITAN MAGISTRATE, MAYOHALL, BANGALORE.

3. The parties are present before this Court and have filed an application along with the affidavit for compounding of the offences stating that they have amicably resolved the dispute among themselves, and in terms of the settlement, the 2nd respondent has agreed to withdraw all the allegations made against the petitioner, and has no objection for quashing the impugned FIR.
4. The application along with a joint affidavit is placed on record.
5. Given the fact that the parties have amicably resolved the dispute among themselves, it would be a futile exercise, if the petitioner-accused is subjected to investigation,

since the probability of the police filing the charge sheet is remote and bleak in view of the settlement. Therefore, the continuation of investigation will be an abuse of the process of law.

ORDER i) The petition is allowed.
ii) The impugned FIR in Crime No.181/2024, registered by the Indiranagar Police Station, stands quashed.
