Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Srinivas Pathuri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Endowments.
2. Challenging the inaction on the part of the 2nd respondent in keeping the subject land under prohibited list under Section 22(A)(1)(c) of the Registration Act, 1908 in respect of the subject property in Plot No.29 to an extent of 166 Sq. yards in Sy.No.296, NVR Street, Ward No.17 of

Madanapalle Village and Mandal, Annamayya District (old Chittoor district), the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner relies on the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.3231 of 2025 and requests to pass the similar order in this writ petition.
4. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and purchased the same through registered sale deed in 1996. Thereafter, the property was listed under prohibited list category under Section 22(A)(1)(c) under Registration Act,
1908. Seeking deletion of the same, the petitioner filed an online application, dated 13.01.2025 before the 2nd respondent. His grievance is that the said application has not been considered by the 2nd respondent.

However, as per the Full Bench decision of the erstwhile composite High Court of Andhra Pradesh in Vinjamuri Raja Gopala Chary & Ors1, referring to Circular Memo, dated 14-09-2007, the appropriate authority to take a decision on the removal of properties enlisted under the prohibited list category is the Commissioner, Endowments Department – 6th respondent.
6. Having regard to the same, the petitioner is permitted to file necessary application before the Commissioner, Endowments Department

seeking deletion of the subject property from the prohibited category. Upon filing of such application, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
7. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
