THE STATION HOUSE OFFICER, EAST POLICE STATION, TIRUPATI, TIRUPATI DISTRICT. ...RESPONDENT(S): Counsel for the Petitioner: VENKATA DURGA RAO ANANTHA 2 Dr. YLR, J W.P.No.6045 of 2026 Dated 16.04.2026 Counsel for the Respondent(S): GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- “…to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring the inaction of the Respondent No 2 to 4 in providing police protection to the lives of the members of the petitioner society for smooth running of auto stand as illegal arbitrary and violative of Article 21 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondent Nos 2 to 4 to give police aid to the lives of the members of the petitioners association for smooth running of auto stand and pass….” 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. Venkata Durga Rao Ananta, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that a representation dated 19.02.2025 was made to Respondent Nos. 2 to 4 seeking police protection for the lives of the members of the petitioner association for smooth running of the auto stand, but the same has not been considered by the respondent police. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the petitioner association submitted representations to Respondent Nos. 2 to 4 on 19.02.2025, which were duly considered. Upon receiving complaints regarding disputes between rival auto unions, both groups were summoned, their statements were recorded, 3 Dr. YLR, J W.P.No.6045 of 2026 Dated 16.04.2026 and after enquiry, both parties agreed to maintain peace and ensure smooth functioning of the auto stand. It is further submitted that the police have issued necessary instructions and warned that strict action will be taken against any violators. 5. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case, and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader and the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of, as the grievance of the petitioner has already been addressed by the respondent police by conducting meetings and counselling and by way of a preliminary enquiry. If there are any internal disputes between the petitioner union and the rival union, they are at liberty to work out their remedies before the appropriate forum in accordance with law. 6. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
