JUSTICE MAHENDAR KUMAR GOYAL Judgment / Order 17/01/2025 These writ petitions are directed against the judgments both dated 23.09.2014 passed by the Chief Information Commissioner, Rajasthan Information Commission, Jaipur in appeals no.7046/2011 and 7047/2011 respectively directing the petitioners to make available to the respondent requisite information within fifteen days and deposit a fine of Rs.25,000/- each. He submits that the requisite information could not be supplied in time on account of some administrative exigency. He, therefore, prays that the fine amount be reduced suitably. None for the respondent despite service. Heard. Considered. Taking into consideration the contention advanced by learned counsel for the petitioners especially, the unrebutted averment that the requisite information has already been supplied, and their prayer for reduction in the fine component, these writ petitions are disposed of in the following terms: “(1) Both the orders dated 23.09.2014 are modified in terms that fine part is reduced from Rs.25,000/- to Rs.5,000/- in each case which shall be deposited by petitioners within a period of four weeks from today failing which both orders dated 23.09.2014 shall stand restored.” Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of accordingly.
