Petitioner was appointed as ad-hoc Junior Clerk in Rural Development Department in Block Moonakot, District Pithoragarh in July, 1984 and he retired from service on 30.11.2024. 4. The grievance raised by the petitioner is that he is not being paid retiral dues, including pension. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon a letter issued by Block Development Officer, Pati, Champawat to the District Development Officer on 02.09.2025. In paragraph nos. 11 & 12 of the said letter, it is mentioned that name of the petitioner was mentioned at serial number 61 in the confirmation order issued by Commissioner, Rural Development on 08.03.2007 and his seniority was also reckoned w.e.f. 21.07.1984 when he was appointed as Junior Clerk. 6. Learned State Counsel, however, on instructions submits that the order of regularisation, if any passed in respect of the petitioner, is not traceable due to which difficulty is being faced in getting 2025:UHC:10899 the amount payable as pension to the petitioner, fixed. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner then submits that since petitioner has made a representation, therefore, the competent authority be directed to take decision thereupon. 8. Since petitioner has already made a representation to the Chief Development Officer, Champawat on 26.06.2025, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned authority to take decision on the representation, as per law, within four months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order before him.
