Sr. No. 36
HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU
Case : CPSW No. 210/2014 in SWP No. 2248/2013
Mohinder Singh Parmar …Petitioner(s)/Appellant(s) Through: None. V/s
Dr. Shahid Iqbal ... Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting counsel to Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG.
CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE
ORDER 19.12.2025
The petitioner prays for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent for willful disobedience of the Judgment/Order dated October 23, 2013 passed by the Writ Court in SWP No. 2248/2013 & CMA No. 3297/2013 (Mohinder Singh Parmar Vs. State of J&K and others).
Vide order, referred to above, the Writ Court had disposed of the petition, preferred by the petitioner, with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to conclude the selection process and take final decision having regard to the contention of the petitioner as also on the representation that was stated to have been submitted by him.
The records show that notice was issued to the respondent as back as on June 13, 2014 and the matter has been put up thereafter before this Court today. Apparently, over 11 years have gone by and the matter was not pursued by the petitioner all this while. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner.
That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
Ordered accordingly.
