Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri Pankaj Patel, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the respondents-State. 3. With the consent of the parties, the matter is being decided finally. 4. Grievance of the petitioners is that the petitioners are teachers and they are sought to be assigned duty as Booth Level Officer for the Panchayat General Election, 2026. 5. There is consensus at Bar that with regard to the duties of the Teachers this court in the case of Surya Pratap Singh vs State of U.P. & Ors : 2025: AHC: 19804 has laid down the principles per which the duties of the teachers are to be assigned. 6. Shri Pankaj Patel, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel states that the State Government shall be following the directions as issued by this Court in the case of Surya Pratap Singh (supra).
