Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Akanksha Shah, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Aishwarya Pratap Singh, learned counsel for the respondent. 2. The present writ petition has been filed challenging an order dated 24.03.2017, whereby the application for release filed under Section 21(1)(a) of U.P. Act No.13 of 1972 was dismissed. 3. Considering the fact that U.P. Act No.13 of 1972 has been repealed and in view of the new Act being U.P. Regulation of Urban Premises Tenancy Act, 2021, the petitioner would be at liberty to move an application for release. In case, such an application is moved, the same shall be decided within the time as stipulated in the Act. 4. It is further made clear that the orders passed impugned in the present writ petition will not come in the way of the designated authority deciding the fresh application that may be filed by the petitioner. 5.
