SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS C528 No.2074 of 2025 Hon’ble Pankaj Purohit, J. Ms. Sheetal Selwal, learned counsel for the applicant. 2. In this C528 application, the prayer is to direct the court below to expedite the proceedings of criminal case. 3. It is argued that Section 143(3) of N.I. Act mandates that every trial under Section 138 of N.I. Act shall be concluded as expeditiously as possible and an endeavour shall be made to conclude the trial within six months from the date of filing of complaint. However, record of the application shows that the complaint is pending before the Court below since the year 2020 and nothing substantial has been done. 4. In order to safeguard the mandate given by law u/s 143(3) of the N.I. Act, this Court has no option but to direct the court concerned to expedite the proceedings. 5. Accordingly, present C528 application is allowed. The learned Additional CJM, Haldwani, Nainital is directed to try and conclude the proceedings of Criminal Case No.449 of 2020, Nazim v. Umesh Chandravanshi, as early as possible but not later than one year from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. (Pankaj Purohit, J.) 20.11.2025 Ravi
