Mr. S.K. Mandal, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Rajeev Singh Bisht, learned Additional C.S.C. for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner was initially engaged as Seasonal Collection Amin in District Tehri Garhwal in the year 1989. According to him, he was disengaged in the year 2012 on account of filing of a charge-sheet in respect of offence under Sections 409 & 420 IPC. According to petitioner, he was acquitted by trial court of the said charge, vide judgment dated 16.10.2015, yet he was not re-engaged. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- (i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the respondents to reinstate the services of the petitioner on the post of Collection Amin with consequential benefit and pay the arrear of salary with admissible interest. 5. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer and submits that the Competent Authority be directed to examine petitioner’s claim for re-engagement. 6. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to District 2025:UHC:10022 Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal. If petitioner makes representation within ten days from today, District Magistrate shall look into the claim and pass appropriate order, as per law, within six weeks thereafter.
