Counsel for the Petitioner: SRI T.S.N SUDHAKAR Counsel for the Respondent Nos.1 & 2: ASST.GP FOR SERVICES-I The Court made the following: ORDER THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN Writ Petition No.8916 of 2025 ORDER: The present writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: “ to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner’s claim for promotion to the post of Town Planning Officer in terms of G.O.Ms.No.66, General Administration (Services-C) Department, dated 30.01.1991, as highly illegal, arbitrary, unjust, discriminatory, unconstitutional and in violation of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and contrary to the orders of this Hon’ble Court and consequently, direct the respondents to promote the petitioner as Town Planning Officer keeping in view the order in W.P. No.25469 of 2023, dated 27.09.2023, and in terms of G.O.Ms.No.66 General Administration (Services.C) Department, dated 30.01.1991, with all consequential benefits and to pass....” V V When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the 2. petitioner submits that the issue involved in this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order, dated 27.09.2023, passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.25469 of 2023. The same is not disputed by learned Government Pleader for Services-I. In view of the same, for the reasons alike in the aforesaid order, 3. this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Town Planning Officer duly taking into consideration of G.O.Ms.No.66, dated 31.01.1991, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (08) 2 CGRJ. W.P.No.8916 of 2025 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. 4.
