In this petition, the petitioner is essentially seeking a direction to the respondents to treat him as having been appointed as Lecturer in Economics in Government Higher Secondary School, Gharota District Jammu as contractual employee. A further direction is sought upon the respondents not to replace the petitioner. 2. This petition was listed before this Court on 1st January, 2016, when this Court while issuing notice to the respondents, provided by way of interim direction, that the petitioner shall be permitted to continue as Sr. No. 02 2 (10+2) Lecturer in Economics in Government Higher Secondary School, Gharota District Jammu, if there is no legal impediment. 3. It seems that in terms of the aforesaid direction, the petitioner may have continued or probably got employment somewhere else. It is because of this reason, the petitioner has not come present. 4. Be that as it may, having regard to the nature of relief prayed for, this petition is disposed of by providing that in case the petitioner is still holding the post of Lecturer in Economics in Government Higher Secondary School, Gharota, District Jammu on contractual/academic basis, he shall not be replaced by similar arrangement.
