Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are arrayed as accused Nos.2 and 3. It is submitted that the 1st accused and the 2nd respondent were in love and on account of disputes between them, the 2nd respondent has filed a complaint alleging under Sections 118(1), 351(2), 78(2), 69 read with 3(5) of BNS.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the offences alleged under Sections 75(2), 78(2) and 69 of BNS cannot be made applicable to the petitioners even as per the complaint.
4. Considering the non-applicability of Sections 75(2), 78(2) and 69 of BNS against the petitioners, the Station House Officer, Prathipadu Police Station, Guntur district is directed to complete the investigation without taking any coercive steps against the petitioners. This order would not preclude the Station House Officer from filing report/charge sheet, after completion of investigation of crime.
5. With these observations, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
6. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
