The petitioner takes exception to the order of disqualification dated 18.03.2024 passed by District Collector, Dharashiv declaring petitioner as disqualified in terms of Section 10(1)(A) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1958. 2. Mr. More, learned Advocate appearing for petitioner relying upon Maharashtra Ordinance No.III of 2025 dated 30.04.2025 submits that petitioner could not have been disqualified, since period for submissions of caste validity certificate has been extended by State Government. 3. Perusal of Clause No.3 of Maharashtra Ordinance shows that extension of time limit to file validity certificate is granted only to elected office bearers in election, which were held on or after August 2022. Admittedly, petitioner has been elected in the year 2025:BHC-AUG:16719 (2) 8-wp-7405-2025.odt 2021 and could not produce caste validity certificate within specified period. 4.
