Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Chief Standing counsel for the respondents. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, by means of this petition, has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the opposite parties not to reject the petitioner's application on the ground of an inadvertent mistake in mentioning an incorrect date of birth. 3. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel submits that the candidature of the petitioner has already been rejected by the Selection Committee on 04.03.2025, in view of the admitted position that an incorrect date of birth was mentioned by the petitioner while uploading her application form. 4. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh petition challenging the cancellation order. 5. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to file afresh, as prayed.
