Lodh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents- Tripura University. [2] This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- “(i) Issue Rule upon the Respondents to show cause as to why a writ in the nature of Mandamus and/or order/orders and/or direction/directions of like nature shall not be issued whereby directing the Respondents to upgrade the pay of the Petitioner to Level 12 (GP 7600) from his existing pay of Level 11 (GP 6600) w.e.f. 24.02.2019 and grant arrears of all consequential benefits flowing therefrom. (ii) Make the rules absolute. (iii) Call for records”. [3] It is seen from the record that the petitioner herein submitted several representations dated 20.09.2023, 31.10.2023 and lastly on 04.11.2024 addressed to the Registrar, Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, Agartala, ventilating his grievances but till date the same are pending for adjudication. [4] In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the concerned respondent(s) to decide the matter in the light of the representation as aforesaid as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. However, it is made clear, in the event, if the respondents require more time, they are free to come up with appropriate application seeking extension of time, by indicating the steps they have taken in the meanwhile. [5] With the above observation and direction, this present writ petition stands disposed of. As a sequel, miscellaneous application(s), pending if any, shall stand closed.
