Impugned in this petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is an order and judgment dated 18.09.2024 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench at Jammu [“the Tribunal”] in T.A. No. 7557/2021 titled Sat Pal Vs. State of J&K &Ors. During the course of hearing of the matter, Mr. Abdul Hafeez, learned counsel appearing for the respondent, would submit at Bar that T.A. No. 7557/2021 had been rendered infructuous on the day it was decided by the Tribunal along with other connected matters in terms of the judgment impugned dated 18.09.2024. He would further submit that he has instructions from the respondent not to press this matter as having been rendered infructuous. 2. His statement is taken on record. 3. In view of the above, the writ petition is allowed and the judgment impugned dated 18.09.2024, to the extent it is passed in T.A. No. Serial No. 34 2 WP(C) No. 1947/2025 7557/2021 titled Sat Pal Vs. State of Jammu and Kashmir &Ors., is set aside and T.A. No. 7557/2021, filed by the respondent, is dismissed as not pressed.
