Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has approached the Court, inter alia praying for the following reliefs:- “i. That writ in the nature of certiorari may very kindly be issued quashing and setting aside impugned communication dated 28.07.2025 (Annexure P-5), whereby, the Respondent Department arbitrarily ordered to withdraw the PPO, which were rightly issued in favour of the Petitioner. ii. That the writ in nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions may kindly be issued directing the Respondents to release the Pension and other retiral benefits from due date i.e. w.e.f. 01.06.2020, along with arrear and interest @ 9% per annum.” 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2. Reply to the writ petition has been filed by respondents No. 1 to 3 and respondent No. 4. Learned Counsel for respondent No. 5 has also handed over a copy of instructions received from the Senior Accounts Officer (Legal), dated 23.02.2026, which are taken on record. 3. A perusal of office order Annexure R-2/1 appended with the reply filed by respondents No. 1 to 3 demonstrates that the reliefs being prayed for by the petitioner stands granted by the Department itself in terms of the contents of said communication. 4. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in light of this development, these proceedings be closed but with the observation that let the arrears of pension to which the petitioner is entitled to, be released in his favour expeditiously. 5. In view of above, these proceedings are disposed of with the direction the let the arrears of pension, to which the petitioner is entitled to, be released in his favour as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 30.06.2026.
