Petitioner was appointed as Assistant Teacher in a Government Primary School in the year 2001. He was promoted as Assistant Teacher in Government Junior High School in the year 2015. He was transferred from Government Primary School, Krishnadas Sah, Hawalbag, Almora to Government Primary School, Kalota, Dholadevi, vide order dated 24.06.2023. 4. Petitioner has challenged the said transfer on the ground that the cadre of the petitioner has altogether been changed by the transfer order, inasmuch as, he has been transferred as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School; while, he was promoted as Assistant Teacher, Government Junior High School, much earlier in 2015. 5. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that there was a typing mistake in the impugned transfer order, which has subsequently been corrected. 6. In view of the statement made by learned State Counsel that the discrepancy in the impugned order is only due to typing mistake, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the Chief Education Officer concerned. If he makes representation within one week from today, the Chief Education Officer shall look into the matter and pass necessary orders, as per law, within three weeks thereafter. For a period of four weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
