Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for respondent No. 1 to 3. Notice to respondent no. 4 is dispensed with in view of the proposed order. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondent no. 3 to prepare a merit list of Anganwari Karyakartis in accordance with the Government Order dated 21.03.2023. A further prayer has been made for issuance of a mandamus directing respondent no. 3 to decide the petitioner’s representations dated 28.02.2025 and 19.03.2025. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, has submitted that the merit list of selected candidates has already been prepared in accordance with the Government Order dated 21.03.2023. It is submitted that the selected candidate, Smt. Renu Rani, who belongs to the BPL category, has secured 19.42 marks in the merit list, whereas the petitioner, also belonging to the BPL category, has secured only 5.7 marks, which is lower than that of the selected candidate. Perused the record, so also the instructions provided by the learned Standing Counsel. From perusal of the record, it is evident from the instructions that the petitioner has been outscored by a more meritorious candidate. There appears to be no illegality in the impugned selection process. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Order Date :- 15.5.2025 R.C.
