1.GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following ORDER: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“to declare the action of the Respondents in not considering the petitioners conversion for arising out of vacancies from the rank of Reserved Sub-Inspector of Police (RSI) to Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) under 5%

No.8784 of 2025 quota for the vacancies 01.07.2006 to 30.06.2007 in pursuant to the petitioner’s representation dt.30.12.2022 by treating petitioner as a S.l. of Police (Civil) converted w.e.f. 01.07.2006 in the rightful place is illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to effect the notional seniority in favour of the petitioner w.e.f. 01.07.2006 as Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) converted and to pass such other orders.”
2. Petitioner was appointed as Reserved Sub-Inspector of Police on
17.09.1999. By proceedings dated 21.02.2009, petitioner has been appointed as Sub-Inspector by transfer under 5% quota for the year 2007. Petitioner appears to have made several oral requests followed by written representation dated 30.12.2022 for considering notional seniority as he was eligible to be considered for transfer from conversion for the vacancies arose from 01.07.2006 to 30.06.2007. As the said representation was not considered, petitioner made another representation dated 21.01.2025 with similar request which is stated to be pending.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that it would suffice to direct 3rd respondent to consider and pass orders on the aforesaid representations.

4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondents submits that the petitioner's representations are belated, however, they will consider the same in accordance with law.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the matter and with the consent of both counsels, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage directing the 3rd respondent to consider petitioner’s request in pursuance to the representations dated 30.12.2022 and 21.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending
