Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:27280 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 5170 of 2025 Petitioner :- Anjani Devi Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Bal Vikas Sewa Avam Pustahar Lko And 5 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Shri Prakash Pandey,Rakesh Kumar Mishra Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. In view of the proposed order being passed, notices to respondent No.6 is dispensed with. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the State-respondents. By this petition, the petitioner has sought quashing of the selection of respondent No.6 on the post of Anganwadi Karyakarti and has prayed a Mandamus directing the respondents to re-consider the merit list and consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on the said post. Learned standing counsel, on the basis of written instructions which are taken on record, has submitted that a perusal of the instructions shows that seat in question belongs to EWS category where both petitioner and selected candidate had applied however, the petitioner's merit is 13.143 whereas respondent No.6 has secured higher merit that is 16.317 and on the basis of getting highest merit she has been selected on the post in question. There appears to be no illegality in the selection of respondent No.6 considering the Government Order dated 21.03.2023 hence, the petition being devoid of merits is accordingly dismissed.
