Tahbildar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. A.K. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondents. 2. Aggrieved by the non-payment of contractual dues, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3. Mr. A.K. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the present writ petition has become infructuous, as the subject matter in issue has been decided by an Arbitrator Shri A.N. Thakur, vide Award dated 10.09.2024, wherein the petitioner’s wife has been awarded Rs.27,08,431/-, which is to be paid within 20 days, failing which, interest is to be paid on the same. He also submits that the writ petitioner had died during the pendency of the writ petition and had been replaced by his wife during the arbitration proceedings. 4. The Award dated 10.09.2024 and the letter dated 22.11.2024 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts, Office of the Chief Engineer-II are made a part of the record and marked as Annexure-X collectively. 5. In view of the contents of Annexure-X, the writ petition is closed as infructuous. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
