2. With the consent of the parties, the petition is being
disposed of at this stage.
3. The petitioner has suffered an order, Annexure P-7, passed by State Drug Controller, Controlling-cum-Licensing Authority, Baddi, in terms whereof in exercise of powers 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 2025:HHC:13042 conferred upon the said Authority under Rule 85 (2) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1995, the Authority has suspended product license to manufacture for sale and distribution the
“Compound Sodium Lactate Injection IP” under generic name or any brand name under the manufacturing license possessed by the petitioner of the said product for one month commencing from 25.04.2025 to 24.05.2025.
4. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that the petitioner has filed an Appeal against the said
order, however, no stay has been granted and the next date fixed for the consideration of the appeal is 20.05.2025.
5. This Court is of the considered view that as the penalty imposed upon the petitioner itself comes to an end on 24.05.2025, hearing of Appeal on 20.05.2025 is not going to serve any purpose.
6. At this stage, learned Additional Advocate General on instruction submits that the Officer has assured that the Appeal will be positively decided within a period of two days from today. He submits that the petitioner through Counsel may appear before the Authority today itself.

7. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that needful will be done.
8. In the event of the petitioner through its representative/Counsel appearing before the Authority concerned today itself, the Authority is directed to dispose of the Appeal on merit, on or before 09.05.2025.
9. This Writ petition is disposed of accordingly, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
