THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N I.A. Nos.2 and 3 OF 2025 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION No.3693 of 2025 COMMON ORDER:
1. The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent/de facto complainant submit that the parties have amicably settled their dispute and have filed I.A. Nos. 2 and 3 of 2025, accompanying the affidavit of the 2nd respondent/ de facto complainant and the joint memo, seeking the permission of this Hon'ble Court to allow the petitioner and the de facto complainant to compound the offence under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 registered against the petitioner in P.R.C. No.6 of 2025 on the file of the II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate (Junior Division)-cum-Junior Civil Judge, at Tadepalligudem.
2. The petitioners and the 2nd respondent/de facto complainant are present in the Court. The identity cards of both the parties were verified.
3. The 2nd respondent submitsthat, pursuant to the intervention of well- wishers, she has withdrawn the allegations made against the petitioner. She further confirmed that the compromise was reached voluntarily, without coercion or undue influence.
4. Recording the submissions of the 2nd respondent, I.A. Nos.2 and 3 of 2025 are allowed and the proceedings in P.R.C. No.6 of 2025 on the file of the II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate (Junior Division)-cum-
-2- CRL.P. No.3693 of 2025
Junior Civil Judge, at Tadepalligudem, against the petitioner for the offence under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, are hereby quashed.
5. Accordingly, the criminal petition is allowed.
